A Jewelrymaking.net Favorite technique – Serpentine!
Denise W. of Forest Lake, Minnesota was kind enough to share her completed Serpentine Bracelet (in brown), and Super Serpentine Bracelet (in grey/silver). This weaving technique creates stunning results – thank you for sharing, Denise – beautiful work!
Serpentine
Create this bracelet by weaving small beads together. The base of this bracelet uses the right-angle weave stitch. Pearls line neatly down the center of the bracelet and seed beads fan out on the sides, creating an intricate design.
Super Serpentine
Apply design and stitch techniques similar to that of basic Serpentine bracelets, but add rows of embellishments to create the “Super Serpentine” (see Czech glass beading along sides). Once you learn how to embellish, you can explore the different variations and layering options in bead weaving.
Serpentine beading kits and supplies are available in many jewelry supply stores and online.
